the humans are probably the most historically accurate of all the races. the humans are oaky for beginner warcraft palyers. they are bad at rushing and good with towering. people say they are the worst race, but really they just need a fast hand and quick reflexes. they also are the only race to have british accents. the species in "human" include: human, dwarf, high elf, and blood elf.
TOWN HALL: the basic main building of the humans. it cannot entangle or haunt
anything. howver, it can make many peasants.
-PEASANT:
the basic worker of the humans. they are home to some of the funniest quotes
in the game. espiecailly when you fight using them. the human army is unique
because their workers can change into warriors. if you're town is under siege,
you convert them to militiamen.
-MILITIAMEN:
they are the warriors i was talking about. you will use them sooner or later.
the most often time is when your enemy is hero harrassing. you just attack using
the militiamen.
alter of heros: the alter for humans. did i mention all armies have an alter
in some form?
-PALADIN:
the "favorite" hero. every amry has one. not that the paladin is any
better than the others, but it is favored by most players. in my opinion, the
paladin is the most anoying of all the heroes to be agaisnt. in any army. basically,
it has an abilitie to make it invinsible, yes, like in a god-mode, for fifteen
seconds. ever time you re-apply the spell, like when you gain levels, the spell
gets better, making the paladin invinsible for more seconds. by the time it
is at level 10, the hero can become invinsible for like a minute. but by then,
the paladin alreay has an abiltie where a big clear god guy comes down and resurrects
6 of your fallen men to fight again. as if that isn't enough, the paladin also
has a healing ability. so if you like annoying type heros, use this one.
-ARCHMAGE:
my personal favorite. the paladin is good for close combat, becasue it can summon
a big water elemental to fight. the creeps will attack the elemental, with the
hero behind it using long ranged spells. the other thing it can do is make a
starfall-like ability, where water rains down on the enemy. the level 6 ability
is where it can teleport to any frindly building. it is annoying as well.
-MOUNTAIN KING:the "bad" hero. every amry has one. not that it is
bad, but i say this becasue players think this hero is bad. in fact, i never
really use it. the level 6 abiltiy is where it kind of turns into a mountain
itself. pretty cool.
-BLOOD MAGE: the human army needed a second long range, air attacking unit, so blizzadr made the blood mage for the frozen throne.
=barracks=the basic units producing building for the humans. it looks like a
castle, but it is not, in fact, a castle.
-FOOTMAN:the so called "footys". also known as "fit-mans". kind of an inside joke. anyway, these men are okay for rushing, but you can mass them easily, so it doesn't matter. they can't attack air, so never mass them later in the game. these units are notorious for being alcoholics, you can even see them drinking if you leave them idle for too long. i am not kidding, either.
-RIFLEMAN: these are a better choice for rushing, in fact, an exellent choice for rushing, but require the blacksmith so they take extra time. they are dwarves who have guns and can attack air untis.
-KNIGHTS:sometimes called "ka-nig-gits"(think monty python), these are the third and best basic unit. they cannot attack air, though. the humans are an exellent for siege. so if you want to mass something for siege that is close range, mass these.
=farms=:they are the basic food producing unit for the humans. they can't really
do anything, like attack or replenish HP.
=blacksmith=:the "stupid" building. it is meant for you to take more
time to produce the units you want. like, knights and cannon towers. you can
also reseach stuff, but i think it is a waste of time and money. only reasearch
that stuff when you have tons of money and don't know what to do with it.
=lumber mill=: one of two stupid building for this race. you can upgrade stuff
here too, but, this building is mostly for quick wood-getting.
=arcane sanctum= once you upgrade to the keep, you can build this.
-PRIESTS: they are usually called "healers" because the heal pretty good. they haev long ranegd attacks, but dont use them for combat.
-SORCERESS: they look like a waste of time but aren't. mass them, and you can
hex you're opponent's units into sheep.
workshop: one of two extra buildings.
-gyrocopters: they are good for building smashing, and air-to-air combat. in
fact, they are great for air-to-air combat. later you can upgrade them and attack
ground units with them. wouldn't recommend it, though.
-mortar team: they are very good for building killing. terrible for close combat.
-steam tank: if the gyros and morts weren't enough, make a few of these. they are hard to kill but can't attack units.
griffon aviary: the place were you get griffons, and also baby griffons.
griffons: the smaller, human equivalent of the chimaeras and frosties. remember to get the hammer upgrade at the beginning.
baby griffon: see, humans needed a small, gentle flying creature. so, they made
the baby griffons. this way when your allies' wind riders, gargoyles, and faerie
dragons are killng the enemy, you can join them with these griffons.
towers: there are three different types of towers in this army. here they all
are:
gaurd tower: armed with arrows, it is great for difence and has commmadbe hp.
when using these, make sure to line the outside of the tower ridge with barns.
cannon tower: these towers are supposedlly better then the gaurd towers. they are better at shootong large creatures such as chimeras.
magic towers: these are bascially the same thing as gaurd towers.
